Noise A Noise: Looking Ahead

On Looking Ahead, Noise A Noise fuses together power-pop, pop-punk, and mod to make a record that is so definitively British, despite the fact that this three-piece outfit hails from the land on the west – California. But that doesn’t matter – their influences weigh heavier on their music than their geographical location in the United States. There’s the grind of the Buzzcocks, the soul of the Jam, and the hard-driving pop of the Kinks – just listen to “Nicotine” and closing track “Strobe in Outer Space.” On whole, Looking Ahead is a good album with potential to be great.
