By Annamarya Scaccia
When it comes to family fun, the Baysox know how to hit it out of the ballpark.
Into their 20th season, Bowie’s ambitious minor league team will host their 13th Annual Free Family FunFest on Saturday, March 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Baysox Stadium, 4104 NE Crain Highway, bringing mid-day delight to families across Prince George’s County. Held rain or shine, the festival will feature amusing games including skee ball and prize-filled carnival sports, 24 foot high rockwall, the Tumbler Ride, the Gyro Ride, face painting, a kids scavenger hunt, and inflatables both inside and outside the ballpark, never leaving families short of entertainment during its four hours.
Presented by Goodtime Amusements, the 13th Annual Free Family FunFest will also include live music by Terry Glaze on the front pad, a vehicle display by the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department, activities for children put together by the Bowie Police Department, and a chance for fans to take photos with the Baysox mascot, Louie and his Oriole Bird friend.
