Busboys and Poets Hosts the Rousing Murder-Mystery Dinner Show, “No Body to Murder” in Hyattsville October 28
By Annamarya Scaccia
Remember the “Dial M for Dick” episode of 3rd Rock from the Sun where Mary and the Solomons attend a rainy murder-mystery weekend? It was a complete farce—Mary was sick with food poisoning and, because the Solomons were aliens from outer space, the loveably ludicrous family is mortified by the fake murders. They think it’s all real. And, well, you can guess the rest.
“No Body to Murder” is sort of like that. The nippy murder-mystery spoof is full of wacky characters trying to solve the murder of a guest at an inn, all in the middle of a dangerous thunderstorm. Everyone has a comical motive, and solving the mystery proves to be a headache for the inspector. After all, when the suspects range the disturbed to the clumsy to the narcissistic, and everything is happening in a ball of confusion, what can go right?
Find out on Sunday, October 28, when Busboys and Poets hosts a stage performance of the comedic play. It will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hyattsville venue, 5331 Baltimore Avenue.
